The .steer-recovery buttons set background:var(--surface) but no color, so native <button> text fell back to the UA ButtonText (dark) color -> dark-on-dark unreadable 'Retry'/'Dismiss' in dark mode. Added explicit color:var(--text) on buttons + label, styled Retry as an accent-colored primary (color+border var(--accent), bold), and white-space:nowrap so labels don't wrap on mobile.
